Dr. Sabrina Makhani
Dentist
Dr. Sabrina Makhani ( Dr. M ) completed her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), from the University of British Columbia in 2005. Previously she graduated as a dentist and a periodontist (gum specialist) from the Nair Hospital Dental College in Bombay, India. She also lectured at M.G.V. Dental College, India before coming to Canada in 2001.

Her treatment philosophy is to provide excellence in her dental services and to assure that families have healthy and happy smiles. She continues to learn through continuing education. Attention to detail with emphasis on healthy gums is her base for providing caring dental services. She has a straightforward and conservative approach in providing the best possible dental treatment.She is licensed to practice as a dentist in British Columbia by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. Dr. Sabrina Makhani is also member of the Golden key International Society, the Canadian Dental Association, the Indian Dental Association and the Indian society of Periodontology.Dr. Makhani lives in the Port Coquitlam area and is originally from Bombay, India and speaks English and Hindi fluently, understands Gujrati and some Punjabi. She is married and has two children aged 13 and 18. Her parents and sisters still live in India and she likes to return to see her family as often as she can. Traveling, reading and quality family time are her pleasures.
Carla
Dental Hygienist
Carla is our gentle dental hygienist who looks forward to interacting with patients to help improve their dental health and experience. She believes that quality care should be a priority so she does her absolute best to help patients be the healthiest they can be. When she is not at the office, Carla likes traveling and spending time with her family and friends while sharing a nice meal or enjoying the outdoors. She can often be found riding a bike or photographing nature.
Marlena
Dental Hygienist
Marlena graduated from Sprott Shaw College’s CDA program in 2021 and started working at Mellow Family Dental Care a month later. Since then she has learned something new every day and loves the excitement of working in dental. She especially enjoys seeing kids and tries to help people to have a better dental experience!
Aimee
Dental Receptionist
Aimee has always been someone who loves people, connection, history, and adventure. With more than 25 years of experience in customer service, including working as a travel agent and dental receptionist, she has built her career around helping people feel welcome, comfortable, and well taken care of.
Outside of work, one of Aimee’s biggest passions is travel. She has had the opportunity to explore more than 20 countries and has developed a particular love for British history, historic buildings, castles, old towns, and the stories behind the places she visits. She always says, “There’s something pretty special about standing somewhere that has been there for hundreds of years and imagining all the people and stories that came before us.”
Aimee is also passionate about exploration and historical preservation and enjoys supporting historical organizations and landmarks through fundraising and community involvement. She believes the stories and places from our past are worth protecting, sharing, and occasionally getting a little bit obsessed with.
Travel has taught her to be curious, adaptable, and open to new experiences, qualities she brings with her to work each day. Whether she’s helping a patient feel at ease, or planning her next adventure, Aimee is happiest when she’s learning, discovering, and connecting with people.
